The project is located on an island in Hong Kong, and following a site survey of the prevailing winds, we decided to develop a wind energy project. In addition, the shape of the long and narrow plot of land reminiscent of a sailing ship such as the “Bénéteau 55”.

With the help of a vertical element such as a mast we install a natural ventilation system and a vertical wind turbine to create energy while bringing fresh air through ducts into the flat with its extraction system. This system allows a constant renewal of the interior air and a clear reduction of the air-conditioning appliances.

The space is constrained by its position between two existing buildings, so the interior design is inspired by a “Bénéteau 55” boat cabin, each space must be intelligently used and transformable according to the activity of the users.

The roof is aerodynamic and adapts to the various tropical climates. It is also sliding and retractable to take advantage of starry nights and transform the lounge into a terrace for outdoor BBQs, an indoor/outdoor relationship.

The project has an eco-responsible approach, using a maximum of recyclable and/or transformable materials.
