Design of a complex of 4 luxury villas in the rice fields of Munggu. The project seeks to fit into the environment of the rice fields for this, we were inspired by the layers of Balinese rice fields. The project is composed of various horizontal plates forming the various levels and floors of the villas.
Each villa has three to four suite bedrooms and bathrooms, the common area consists of 2 living rooms, an office, a dining room, a kitchen & a space for the person who maintains & guards the villa.
The exterior of the villa consists of a garden, a swimming pool & a panoramic jacuzzi. The green roof brings an additional panoramic terrace opening on the landscape of the surrounding rice fields.
In the lower part of the project & of the land, there is a semi-buried parking lot with useful spaces for the people working in the residential (bedrooms, shower room, kitchen, storage).
The realization wants to be ecological, for that we proposed a version shipyard, to manage the maximum waste, the construction of the project and a first assembly are made in factory to be then dismounted and finally assembled on the site.
Only the swimming pool & the foundations of the stainless-steel posts in reinforced concrete are made on site directly.
The main structure is made of stainless steel, then comes to fix sandwich panels (in artisanal version), for the external wall, it is composed of a structure Wood filled with Daub.
As for the interior wall, the panel is composed of a Bambu structure filled with earth-straw, between the two walls an air gap with a vapor barrier to control the temperature and humidity variations between the interior and the exterior.
As an internal finish, an earthen coating is applied, this system prevents any mold linked to the tropical climate. This system brings a better quality of the air and a better interior comfort. The floors are finished with local terrazzo made of crushed shells.
